Lesser Kestrel, Falco naumanni

It gets rather exciting  when its time to hunt they get into a frenzy and fight over the catch. and this time of season when the female is sitting its up to the male to provide food ,  but before he feeds the female he takes his own portion that is if the other birds let him.  and at this time the crows and other birds keep clear of the area,  Incase they end up as the kill.

Here the male Kestrel has a sparrow  ready for a feed,
